CANSON Montval is a watercolour paper developed by Gaspard Maillol, nephew of sculptor Aristide Maillol, produced at CANSON at his request in the early 20th century. This Montval paper with a surface weight of 300 g/m² is suitable for all wet techniques, such as watercolour, but also gouache or acrylic and is particularly tear-resistant thanks to the high surface weight. In addition, the required amount of water can be measured more easily for heavier papers. This paper is therefore a well-coordinated option if not all the subtleties of watercolour painting are yet mastered. Made in France, premium quality watercolour paper is easy to use. Thanks to its correction ability, which means the painting can be "erased", Montval is particularly suitable for beginners and advanced users.
